Your Study Buddy, Anytime, Anywhere: The MySlates Assignment Helper

Remember those days when assignments used to bug you? Or the days they’d bug you and you take it to an older brother, colleague, friend, or parent only to find out that it’s not something they can help you with. Then you look for books with relevant topics to come to your aid. Even that did not help, did it? Then you go to the internet cafe, log on to Google.com, and start searching. How tiring those days were.

Fastforward to today. You’re now holding your smartphone. You have access to thousands, nay, hundreds of thousands of resources at your beck and call, or better yet, at your tap.

Now, help with your assignments has even gotten closer. Imagine a scenario where an assignment bugs at a tight deadline only for you to reach out to a professor for a one-on-one chat with them. This professor is an expert to the bone on the subject matter of your assignment. I bet you would fear nothing confronting the assignment as long as your professor-friend is willing to ‘cooperate’.

Let’s take this imagination over and beyond. What if you had professors or subject matter experts in every field you’re interested in or would be interested in? That will be more than awesome. This is because understanding stuff will be easy, relaxing, and reassuring since they’d always be happy to answer your questions, no matter how many times you ask. Oops! Sorry, that is not always the case. If you asked a subject matter expert on how the clouds gather and bring about rain, they’d be happy to answer the first few times. But as your curiosity grows, their willingness to answer or respond to you wanes. That’s a fact, and you cannot blame them.

In comes Wazeer, an AI bot in the MySlates app. Wazeer not only answers your question, it literally grabs you by the hand and walks you through every nook and cranny of your assignment. All you need to do is upload in one of three ways:

  • Choose source: which takes you directly to your file manager and allows you to choose a pdf file, jpg file, or any of the readable formats containing your question or solution.
  • Gallery: Takes you directly to your smartphone’s gallery and allows you to choose the image containing the questions or solutions.
  • Camera: You could simply snap the picture directly.

Next, you tap on get help, and voila, you get details of your solution, what was right, what was wrong about it, how best you would attempt the question, and so on. It literally walks you through the whole assignment. This, however, is done in a tactical way. It needs your attempt on the question first.

I call this the study buddy of all time. What does the future hold? No one can tell. But for now, MySlates’ Wazeer is awesome. Try it out!
